LIFE’S EXPERIENCES

Embrace all of life’s experiences.

I think we all wish we could erase some dark times in our lives. But all of life’s experiences, good or bad, make you who you are. Erasing any of life’s experiences would be a great mistake.

No matter what the experience is, this is how we learn, grow and develop. Overcoming hard times can build character and shape us into who we will become. It can build our confidence and our learning mechanisms to deal with things when they don’t go our way.

There are however times when things may add up and the picture seems like doom and gloom. We can go into overwhelm and feel like we are just not coping. This is when it is so important to STOP and TAKE SOME TIME OUT.

This could also be referred to as taking some time out for SELF-CARE. This does not have to be anything huge, expensive or complicated. Just something simple to give yourself a breather.

Here are a few ideas that I really enjoy and they work for me:-

  1. Sitting outside for 10 minutes in a sunbeam if there is one.

  2. Taking a 15 minute walk.

  3. Having a lovely cup of tea and patting my cat and listening to her purr.

  4. Meditation.

  5. Lying in a hot bath with a few candles burning.

There are also times when our emotions may get in the way and we struggle to bring these into check. For this, I use EFT or sometimes known as Tapping. It is like turning down the dial on the heat. This is such a simple technique but yet so powerful. It can be used in the moment to calm those nerves, or to dive deeper into underlying core beliefs.
