Time to Heal

We are all different, and this is what makes us all so special and something that we need to cherish.

When we go through hard times and things just keep piling up, we can start going into absolute overwhelm. If you are anything like me, I just keep trying to forge on and keep going. This of course is NOT the healthy answer.

I am sure you have noticed, if you are a person that follows me on social media, I have been rather absent here lately. 2021 has been an awful year for me with lots of sadness and stress, then I got to a point where I realized that I needed some time out to work really hard on building up my self-care routine, filling my inner cup and getting my inner energy tank full again.

In order to do this, I had to drop a few balls that I was juggling. So… social media took a back seat. This was not easy as we all know. I began by developing small easy to achieve new manageable healthy habits, which I will share here that has really helped me:-

  1. Read or listen to something uplifting each day.

  2. Write in my Gratitude Journal at night.

  3. Take a short walk weather permitting or just go outside and get some fresh air during the day.

  4. Do daily EFT/Tapping even if it is silent with no words.

  5. Meditation.

  6. Drink lots of water.

This probably sounds like a lot, and yes….. there are days that I don’t get to do them all.

BUT, I am always kind to myself and will not beat myself up if I do not tick every box every day.

As long as I strive to keep on showing up for myself, then I will ensure that I will always keep topping up my energy and self-care tank.

I like to make the similarity to a plant – we don’t want to wait until the plant is all wilted before we water it, as it is then difficult to revive it, it may lose all the leaves, even die.

So – why wait to look after our own self-care until we are so frazzled and burnt out.

Start TODAY to put your SELF-CARE into your agenda and make it an important part of your day.

I send you support and encouragement as you go on this journey to showing up for yourself.
