“Rise above the storm and you will find the sunshine”

I find that when things are all going wrong and when I feel like life is just not playing fair with me, it can feel like I am stuck in a huge storm cloud. It becomes difficult to focus and it seems that one thing after the next keeps going wrong.

I think I am not alone here, and perhaps many of you can identify with this.

When we are in this dark cloud, it is a struggle to see any light or positivity. But there is always a positive or silver lining in every cloud.

When I feel that I am getting sucked into a storm cloud, I visualise myself poking my head out the top and basking in the sun’s rays and soaking up all the positive energy.

In tough times, we can always look or find something that is good and that we can carry forward to help us move in a positive direction.

Life is often going to throw us a curved ball, and we need to find a way to catch it with ease and walk away with something valuable.

Here are a few things of value that I have walked away with from a few of my experiences: –

  1. Feeling grateful and appreciating all the good things that I have in my life.

  2. Grateful for all the support from my family and friends.

  3. Learning new coping skills.

  4. Gaining understanding of my emotions and needs.

  5. Understanding what it is that I need in order to feel supported.

I encourage you to look for at least one good point in an existing bad situation and build on that good point.
